The following posts are posts I have written for the Bible Living Blog that focus on the promises of God. This will begin as a short list, but I pray that it will continually grow.
I am dedicating this page to two men who have encouraged me to trust the promises of God:
Charles Spurgeon and Steve Ballinger
Almost everyone will know Charles Spurgeon. He needs no introduction. The other dear saint is a man who serves as an elder of a local church in a small town who cared enough to give me a copy of The Promises of God (Crossway) which is Tim Chester’s revised and updated version of Charles Spurgeon’s classic book titled The Cheque Book of the Bank of Faith. Steve is known for giving copies of this book away and referencing it often in his pastoral prayers and his pastoral care.
Most of all, I want to thank God for all his precious and very great promises which find their yes in Christ Jesus (2 Peter 1:4; 2 Corinthians 1:20).
