Psalm 23:1 – The Lord Is My Shepherd – A Prayer

The following post is a prayer that was originally published on May 2, 2020. This is an expanded and edited version of that original post.

“Lord, you are our Shepherd. You are our Good Shepherd who laid down your life for your sheep. You have purchased us for yourself, and you lovingly care for us. You have received the promised Holy Spirit from the Father and have poured him out on us and given us all we need for life and godliness. We have all we need in you. In your presence is fullness of joy, and in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Where else can we go to truly be satisfied? Where else would we go? You alone have the words of eternal life!

Thank you for being our Shepherd! May we continually have our hope for salvation in you alone. May we find our sufficiency, joy, satisfaction, delight, hope, help and assurance in you at all times. Truly, all who take refuge in you are blessed!

For Your glory, Amen.” (Psalm 23:1, John 10:6-30, Acts 2:38-39, 2 Peter 1:3, Psalm 16:11, John 6:66-69, Psalm 37:4, Psalm 2:12)
