I have started posting audio recordings of the sermons I preach on Spotify. I try to post them by Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. This is mainly a resource for members of the church family I shepherd, but if others find it helpful, may God receive the glory for it.
Why Spotify?*
I am using Spotify for four main reasons:
1. It is easy to use.
Spotify has an app for creating podcasts called “Spotify for Creators” that is very easy to use. I simply upload an audio recording from my phone, fill in some information, and hit “publish.” Done. That makes recording and sharing sermons very easy and time-efficient.
2. It is free to use.
I do not know if there are ever costs to using Spotify, but for now, I don’t have to pay anything to use it. So, it is a free option, which is the best option for me.
3. It is a good free app.
Free normally makes people uneasy. Free is almost always seen as cheap. As a Christian, I know that the best thing in life is a free gift (Romans 6:23), but this principle does not always apply for apps. In this case, free does not mean they have a cheap product. At least, that is my personal experience with the two apps.
4. It is easy to share.
I can share a sermon on the podcast with a few clicks on my phone. It is very helpful for sharing with church members or others who ask for a resource.
So, if you want to listen to sermons or share sermons with a friend, feel free to check out the Bible Living Blog Podcast.

*You need to know that I am not receiving any compensation for this post. I am just telling you that I am using Spotify and why I am using it. Second, this is not an endorsement of Spotify or even a recommendation to use Spotify. I use it, and it works for me. To be honest, my podcast is hardly listened to and that doesn’t matter to me. It is available as a resource for when it is useful.
