Hebrews 4:15–16 “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help … Continue reading A Sympathetic and Strong High Priest

Refreshed by God’s Grace in the Life of a Sister in Christ
My heart was refreshed in our church gathering this morning as one of our young women shared about her recent mission trip. She spent two months of her summer taking the Gospel to a difficult and far-off place. She beamed with excitement in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and the opportunity she had … Continue reading Refreshed by God’s Grace in the Life of a Sister in Christ
The Cost of Adoption
Adoption is an expensive undertaking. It can take thousands (tens of thousands) of dollars to adopt a child. Not only does it cost money, but there is also a high price of commitment, time, difficulty, and emotions. Adoption is costly. Who pays the price for adoption? Typically, the adopting parents cover the cost. The child … Continue reading The Cost of Adoption
Poured Out For Christ
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:6–7 The setting was stunning in the most negative sense. Paul was in a dark, cold, dirty pit … Continue reading Poured Out For Christ
I Can’t!
I was recently helping my kids with their art lesson. We were using a how-to-draw video lesson from Creature Kids. My school-aged kids and I were drawing lions, and my four year old son wanted to join in the lesson. It didn't take long for him to be frustrated. Frustration led to a tearful shout, "Daddy, I can't do it!"

Actually, every Sunday is set aside for worship and celebration of the resurrection (Luke 24:1; Acts 20:7). The Lord Jesus Christ has died and … Continue reading March 31, 2024 Is Resurrection Sunday
The Lord Has Laid Our Iniquities on Him
Our iniquity (sin) was laid on the Lord Jesus that we might have peace, that we might be healed, and that we might be brought to the God we once rebelled against. God the Son faced the punishment sinners deserve so that all who call on his name are saved.
We Believe We Will Be Saved By Grace
"But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will" (Acts 15:11). I love this verse. It is a brilliant turn in the discussion at the Jerusalem Council. The question of Gentile salvation is being discussed. Do Gentiles need to become Jews in order to be … Continue reading We Believe We Will Be Saved By Grace
Your Testimony Is Not Boring
I have talked to several believers who tell me that their testimony is boring. "I grew up going to church. I never really got into too much trouble. I didn't need to be convinced that Christianity is true. I was just sitting in Sunday School class one day and really believed that I was a … Continue reading Your Testimony Is Not Boring
Blessed Be God!
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power … Continue reading Blessed Be God!
