Father,
When we read about the riches in Solomon’s Temple and palace, we marvel. How rich Solomon was! How powerful! What a marvel the Temple must have been!
Yet, the treasures of Solomon are nothing compared to Jesus and the riches we have in Him. Immanuel, God with us, has come and tabernacled with us. Every blessing in heaven is ours. The beauty of the new heavens and new earth is our inheritance. We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit, the Guarantee of this inheritance.
God, in Christ, You are ours, and we are Yours. You have not spared Your Son but given Him up for us. We have all in Him. May we not be distracted by earthly riches and power, when God is our inheritance forever.
