Sovereign Lord,
As I read the final chapters of 2 Kings, I am reminded that You rule over the nations. You are in charge of the nation’s movements and decisions. You raise up nations and rulers. You bring them down in Your appointed time.
Remind us of Your sovereign rule. Comfort us in these days of turmoil. May we join in the victory chant – “Our God reigns!” May we call our brothers and sisters in Christ to hope in the Lord Jesus. Remind our hearts that He has ascended with all authority. Nothing overthrows His reign.
