Update: Ministry Transition

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to provide a ministry update for you. In the last update I had mentioned I had some family needs and plans that I could not share at the time. I also started posting older blog posts to keep the schedule going as we worked through various details. I appreciate your patience and ask for more in the months ahead.

I am now able to share our plans with you.

Our family will be moving to Oklahoma soon, where we will be working alongside another church family.

We have served in the Adirondacks of New York State since 2015. I have served as a pastor here with my wife and children serving alongside me. We have made friends and been connected to the church family here, so the move has sorrow mingled with the joy.

We are confident that this is God’s plan for our family. We are moving to Oklahoma with great joy and peace. We will also miss those we have served and served with for these past six years. Through it all we are confident that the Lord establishes the steps of His people, and His peace has ruled every step of this process (Proverbs 16:9; Colossians 3:15).

Please pray for us as we make this transition. Pray that we would continue to trust the Lord to work out all of the details. Pray that we would not be overwhelmed by the many tasks that come with cross-country moves and five kids. Also pray that we would honor Christ in all we do in this process.

Thanks for praying and faithfully reading.

Resting in Jesus,

Bill Whittington
