Second Day of Christmas Prayer

Father, on this second day of Christmastide we praise you for the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Praise be to the One who humbled himself and took on our humanity. ‘Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.’ We praise You for this inexpressible gift! Amen. (Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 2:14-15; 2 Corinthians 9:15)
